Job Title: SEND Tutor (English, Maths, Science) - DH8 Area
Location: DH8
Pay Rate: £30 per hour
Hours: 6 hours per week
Overview:
We are looking for an experienced SEND tutor to support a Year 10 learner with complex needs who is currently out of school. The learner has had very limited engagement in education for several years, and previous provisions have not been successful. This role requires a highly skilled, consistent, and resilient approach.
Hours Breakdown:
- 2 hours English
- 2 hours Maths
- 2 hours Science
Key Information:
- Learner has an EHCP
- Complex SEND needs
- Requires a structured, patient, and flexible approach
- Focus on engagement, trust-building, and gradual academic progress
Requirements:
- Strong experience supporting learners with complex SEND
- Ability to differentiate and adapt content across KS4 subjects
- Confident managing challenging or disengaged behaviours
- Consistent, calm, and reliable
