We are working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Blackpool that is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their successful department on a full-time maternity cover basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ambitious Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join a supportive school community where high expectations, student achievement, and staff development are at the heart of everything they do.
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Inspire students to develop a love of Science and achieve their academic potential.
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students of varying abilities to make excellent progress.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within a supportive Science department.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Has experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting.
- Has excellent classroom management skills.
- Is passionate about raising attainment and student outcomes.
- Can build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Demonstrates commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
Applications are welcomed from teachers specialising in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science.
