Typical School Jobs We Recruit For.
Primary & Secondary Teachers
A Teacher is a professional who educates about a certain subject or subjects. Duties will vary depending on the educational setting, age and capability of the students. The primary goal is to inspire, motivate and encourage students.
Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) Teachers work with children and young people who have special educational needs or disabilities. Working as a SEND Teacher can be an incredibly rewarding career as they are helping young people to thrive in and out of an educational setting.
SEN Teaching Assistants
A Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant is responsible for supporting teachers with helping pupils who have special educational needs and disabilities, within the classroom.
The role of a SEN Teaching Assistant is very rewarding but can also be challenging as it involves supporting children and young adults with a range of different learning needs.
Teaching Assistants & 1:1 Support
A Teaching Assistant is responsible for supporting Teachers and pupils in the classroom. A Teaching Assistant may be required to provide 1:1 support to a student with additional learning needs. They will also be expected to assist with general classroom administration tasks.
A Cover Supervisor is responsible for covering a class of students if their full time Teacher is absent. A Cover Supervisor will manage a classroom and supervise pupils with pre-prepared exercises to ensure their learning is not disrupted.
Headteachers and Executive Headteachers
A Headteacher manages and oversees the general running of a school ensuring all Teachers and staff deliver the highest standard of education. As well as creating a safe and successful environment for all students and staff to thrive, a Headteacher will also be responsible for the overall performance of the school ensuring that it meets statutory obligations.
A Deputy Headteacher is responsible for assisting a Headteacher with the leadership of a school. The role requires effective communication with the Headteacher to ensure the vision of the school is kept in mind, targets are met and effective teaching is provided to students.
School Business Managers
The responsibilities of a School Business Manager include supporting the Headteacher, advising on financial policy, overseeing the maintenance of the school and managing the schools budget. A School Business Manager is employed to ensure that the school is running efficiently day in, day out.
An Exam Invigilator is responsible for ensuring that important educational examinations run smoothly from start to finish. Maintaining order and ensuring exam regulations are adhered to within the assessment room are important responsibilities for an Exam Invigilator.
School Administrators / Receptionists
A School Administrator plays a crucial part in providing administrative support to a school office or department. They ensure the school runs as smoothly as possible by carrying out a range of important administrative tasks such as managing emails and taking phone calls.
