Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting Secondary School SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a range of secondary schools across Chorley and the surrounding areas. We are looking for caring, resilient and proactive individuals who can provide tailored support to students with a variety of additional needs, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

Whether you have previous experience in schools or have worked with young people in other settings, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with Special Educational Needs.
• Assist students with learning, social and emotional development.
• Support pupils with needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties.
• Work closely with teachers and the school's SEND team to implement support strategies.
• Encourage positive behaviour and build strong, supportive relationships with students.
• Help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

What We're Looking For

• Experience supporting children or young people, ideally those with additional needs.
• A patient, empathetic and positive approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
