Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an Outreach and Sustainment Officer for a local authority in East London.
In this role, you will provide trauma-informed outreach and sustainment support to help people experiencing homelessness access services, secure accommodation, and achieve stability.
Duties:
- Carry out outreach to engage and support people sleeping rough or at risk of homelessness.
- Assess needs, risks, and provide advice, referrals, and practical support.
- Support people to access and sustain temporary or permanent accommodation.
- Work with partners to deliver safe, coordinated, and person-centred support.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience delivering outreach or support services to people sleeping rough or at risk of homelessness.
- Experience assessing support needs, managing risks, and responding to complex situations.
- Knowledge of housing options, tenancy sustainment, welfare benefits, and referral pathways.
- Experience working collaboratively with health, housing, and specialist support services.
What's on offer:
Salary: £24ph+
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
