Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Officer for a local authority in Southwest London.
In this role, you will deliver a customer-focused housing management service, supporting residents, sustaining tenancies, and creating safe, well-managed communities across your designated housing patch.
Duties:
- Manage a designated housing patch, handling tenancy matters including successions, assignments, exchanges, and tenancy breaches.
- Build positive relationships with residents through home visits, estate inspections, and support for vulnerable tenants.
- Investigate anti-social behaviour, prepare legal notices, and work with partners to resolve tenancy issues.
- Carry out estate inspections, identify repairs and safety concerns, and work with teams to maintain safe, well-managed neighbourhoods.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in general needs housing management within a social housing environment.
- Experience managing complex tenancy issues, ASB cases, breaches of tenancy, and enforcement action.
- Experience conducting estate inspections, tenancy audits, home visits, and supporting vulnerable residents.
- Knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy management procedures.
What's on offer:
Salary: £20ph+
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
