Spencer Clarke Group is currently recruiting for a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Leyland.
This is a temporary position offering an excellent opportunity to start or develop a career in education, with the potential for a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
Previous experience working in a school is not essential. If you have a positive attitude, enjoy working with children, and have transferable skills from other roles, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role


As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers to support pupils in the classroom, helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. You may support individuals or small groups of children, encourage participation, and help pupils develop both academically and socially.

Responsibilities


  • Support the class teacher during lessons.

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support where required.

  • Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and engagement.

  • Help prepare classroom resources and learning activities.

  • Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.

  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
