Spencer Clarke Group is currently recruiting for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming school in Blackburn.
This is a temporary opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with additional needs, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.
Previous experience in a school is not essential. If you're patient, caring, and passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and the school's SEND team to support pupils with a range of additional needs. You may provide one-to-one support or work with small groups, helping pupils to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their individual goals.

Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
Support pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development.
Encourage positive behaviour and independence.
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs where appropriate.
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
What We're Looking For

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
The ability to remain calm, positive, and adaptable.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
