Rate: £515 Per Day

Contract: 3-months initially

Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting for an Interim Senior HRA Compliance Lead to take ownership of property safety compliance across a large social housing portfolio.

This is a senior role focused on driving statutory compliance, strengthening assurance, and leading on high-risk areas including fire safety and wider building safety requirements.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the property compliance function across housing stock, addressing non-compliance and strengthening assurance
• Acting as the technical lead across compliance areas including fire safety, water hygiene (legionella), asbestos, gas, electrical, lifts, radon and related property safety matters
• Owning internal and external audits for compliance, implementing recommendations within agreed timescales
• Leading procurement and contract oversight for compliance surveys, inspections, removal works (asbestos), and remedials
• Ensuring robust records, reporting, and performance measures are in place across all compliance workstreams
• Supporting strategic risk management, service planning, and performance reporting
• Deputising on compliance matters as required, including site inspections and stakeholder engagement

About you:

• Strong senior experience leading housing property compliance (local authority or housing association)
• Proven delivery across residential fire safety (including management of FRA processes and improvement programmes)
• Working knowledge of key statutory compliance areas (asbestos, legionella, gas, electrical, lifts, radon)
• Confident leading teams, managing contractors, and operating in audit-driven environments
• Relevant qualifications and/or strong equivalent experience (eg NEBOSH General Certificate, P405, P901; IOSH/BOHS desirable)
