Senior Corporate Estates Surveyor
Location: London
Rate: TBC
Working Pattern: Hybrid
Contract: 5 - months minimum
Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Senior Corporate Estates Surveyor on behalf of a local authority to support the Corporate Estates function across a large, mixed operational and community property portfolio.
This is a senior, technical role focused on valuation and estate management work, acting as an intelligent client when commissioning external valuers, and supporting wider asset management, rationalisation and space optimisation activity.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering and reviewing property valuations for a range of purposes (including statutory valuations and Right to Buy)
- Leading on complex landlord and tenant matters including rent reviews and lease renewals
- Managing and quality-checking external valuation consultants to ensure best value and technical compliance
- Supporting corporate asset rationalisation and space optimisation projects, including relocations and restacking
- Undertaking site inspections and providing clear professional advice to senior stakeholders
- Contributing to reports and responses relating to property matters (including member enquiries and FOI where required)
About you:
- MRICS (or equivalent) and degree-qualified in a relevant property discipline
- Strong general practice / corporate estates background, ideally within a local authority or similar environment
- Confident completing and reviewing Red Book valuations, ideally including Right to Buy
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and operating in a politically aware environment
- Able to manage external consultants and work to statutory deadlines
