Senior Highway Engineer
Location: North West England
Rate: Negotiable
Contract: 3 - 6 Months ongoing
Spencer Clarke Group recruiting for a Senior Highway Engineer to support a busy Highways and Transportation team within a large public sector organisation in the Northwest.
This is a hands-on delivery role, supporting the development and delivery of highways and transport schemes, working with internal stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing and delivering highways engineering workstreams and schemes
- Providing technical advice across design, maintenance and delivery
- Supporting project planning, coordination, reporting, and stakeholder updates
- Reviewing and assuring designs and technical documentation
- Working with relevant standards, policies and procedures
About you:
- Strong background in highways engineering within a public sector or similarly regulated environment
- Comfortable leading technical input and coordinating scheme delivery
- Confident communicator with stakeholders at multiple levels
- Able to attend site / offices when required
