School Catering Assistant - Bolton

Location: Bolton
Pay: £17.00-£18.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:00am-2:00pm
Start Date: 3rd September

We are currently recruiting a reliable and enthusiastic School Catering Assistant to join a friendly school catering team in Bolton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for part-time weekday hours in a rewarding school environment.

The Role

As a School Catering Assistant, you will support the kitchen team in preparing and serving nutritious meals to pupils while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with food preparation and meal service.
• Serving pupils and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
• Cleaning kitchen equipment, dining areas, and work surfaces.
• Washing pots, pans, and utensils.
• Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Supporting the catering team with general kitchen duties as required.

Requirements

• Previous catering, kitchen, or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is preferred, or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to work Monday to Friday, 11:00am-2:00pm.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
