Complex Needs Tutor-Bradford

Pay: £27.00 - £30.00 per hour
Location: Community-based and home-based tuition (learner's home and/or public settings such as libraries)
Contract: Flexible, Part-Time

We are seeking experienced Complex Needs Tutors to provide 1:1 tuition for learners with SEND, SEMH needs, and challenging behaviours who are currently unable to access mainstream education.

Tutors will deliver engaging lessons in core subjects, tailored to individual learning needs, while building positive relationships and supporting educational progress.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tuition in core subjects (English, Maths and/or Science).
• Adapt learning materials to meet individual SEND and SEMH needs.
• Manage and respond appropriately to challenging behaviours.
• Build trust and engagement with learners who may have experienced barriers to education.
• Deliver sessions at the learner's home or in approved public settings such as libraries.
• Complete session records and provide brief progress updates as required.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' UK teaching or tutoring experience.
• Experience working with learners with SEND, SEMH needs, ASD, ADHD, and/or challenging behaviours.
• Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable delivering tuition in both home and community settings (including libraries).
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently.

Pay

• £27.00 - £30.00 per hour, dependent on experience and assignment.

This role is ideal for teachers, tutors, SEND specialists, and education professionals with experience supporting vulnerable learners outside of mainstream school settings.
