Housing Advice and Options Manager

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Advice and Options Manager for a Local Authority Client in Northamptonshire.

In this role, you will lead homelessness prevention and housing solutions, including private rented sector access, in line with current and upcoming legislation.

Duties:

• Lead private rented sector access work, engaging landlords to secure and sustain accommodation for households at risk of homelessness
• Deliver homelessness prevention, relief and statutory assessments in line with current legislation and upcoming Renters' Rights Act changes
• Oversee housing advice and options casework, ensuring timely, lawful and person-centred decisions
• Develop strong landlord and partner networks to increase housing supply and reduce reliance on temporary accommodation

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

• Proven experience in private rented sector access work, including securing and sustaining tenancies for homeless households
• Strong understanding of homelessness legislation and practical readiness for upcoming Renters' Rights Act changes
• Experience managing housing advice, prevention and homelessness casework within a local authority or similar setting
• Demonstrable success in building landlord relationships and increasing access to private sector housing options

What's on offer:

Salary: £200 per day

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
