Home Tutor Required - Year 11 Student (Harrogate, HG2)

We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and reliable tutor to support a Year 11 student who has been out of education for a significant period. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the student rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning, and transition back into a school environment.

Location

• Harrogate (HG2)
• Sessions to take place in the student's home

Hours

• Flexible working hours (to be agreed)

Pay

• £27-£30 per hour (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored, engaging lessons suited to the student's current level and needs
• Support the student in regaining confidence and routine around learning
• Provide gentle, structured guidance to facilitate reintegration into school
• Build a positive, trusting relationship with the student
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience working with secondary-aged students (Year 11 preferred)
• Experience supporting young people with barriers to education or school non-attendance
• Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
• A patient, empathetic approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
• Willingness to work within a home environment

Desirable

• Teaching qualification or relevant tutoring experience
• Experience with reintegration or alternative provision settings
