Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Temporary Accommodation Move on Officer for a Local Authority Client in Southwest London.
In this role you will support households in temporary accommodation to move into settled housing by assessing needs, matching them to suitable properties, and helping overcome barriers to move-on.
Duties:
- Manage a caseload of households moving from temporary accommodation into settled housing.
- Assess housing needs and match households to suitable accommodation options.
- Support residents to overcome barriers and prepare for successful move-on.
- Liaise with internal teams and partners to progress cases and complete statutory processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience assessing housing need and suitability in line with homelessness legislation and statutory duties.
- Experience matching households to accommodation, including private rented, social housing, or supported housing options.
- Experience issuing housing-related correspondence such as offer letters, discharge notices, and refusal decisions.
- Experience identifying and addressing barriers to move-on, including affordability, benefits, safeguarding, and support needs.
What's on offer:
Salary: £23ph+
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
