Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting for an Unqualified Teaching Assistant / Classroom Support Assistant to work within a welcoming primary school setting in Leyland.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in education. It is particularly suited to those with transferable skills from care work, residential support work, support work, youth work, childcare, or healthcare assistant roles who are interested in moving into a school-based environment.
The Role
- Supporting teachers in delivering engaging primary school lessons (KS1 and KS2)
- Providing 1:1 and small group classroom support
- Assisting pupils with SEN, additional learning needs, and behavioural support needs
- Helping create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Supporting pupils' confidence, engagement, and emotional development
- Assisting with classroom preparation and daily school routines
Requirements
- No formal Teaching Assistant qualification required
- Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals is desirable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- A genuine interest in working in primary education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
