Senior Estates Surveyor
Location: West Midlands
Rate: £400 - 500 Per day DOE
Contract: 6 - months contract
Spencer Clarke Group are working with a local authority in the West Midlands to appoint a Senior Estates Surveyor to lead a significant disposals programme while overseeing a mixed commercial portfolio.
This is a visible role working with senior stakeholders, balancing commercial return with wider regeneration and sustainability objectives.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead delivery of the disposals pipeline, maximising capital receipts and ensuring statutory compliance
- Oversee a mixed commercial property portfolio to optimise performance and manage risk
- Lead estates activity across disposals and acquisitions
- Support and deputise for the Head of Property and Development
- Identify and progress commercial opportunities across regeneration and development
- Produce and review viability appraisals, options appraisals and business cases
- Provide strategic property advice to senior stakeholders and elected members
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver outcomes
About You:
- Strong track record delivering asset disposals in a complex estate environment
- Experience managing mixed-use commercial portfolios
- Confident negotiator with clear evidence of protecting and maximising value
- Public sector experience essential, private sector exposure beneficial
- Comfortable operating at pace and influencing senior stakeholders
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Estate Management / Real Estate / Property
- MRICS (or equivalent recognised professional accreditation)
