Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Homelessness Prevention & Solutions Officer for a Local Authority Client in Northwest London.
In this role you will prevent and relieve homelessness by assessing housing need and helping individuals and families secure and sustain suitable accommodation.
Duties:
- Assess homelessness applications and determine statutory housing duties in line with legislation.
- Develop and manage Personal Housing Plans to prevent and relieve homelessness.
- Negotiate with landlords, agents, and partners to secure and sustain accommodation.
- Provide advice and support on housing options, welfare benefits, and tenancy sustainment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience of working in housing, homelessness prevention, or a related frontline advice service.
- Experience of assessing complex needs and making informed, evidence-based decisions.
- Experience of working with vulnerable clients in high-pressure or statutory environments.
- Experience of managing a caseload and working to strict deadlines and performance targets.
What's on offer:
Salary: £19ph+
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
