Spencer Clarke Group are working with a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across Blackpool and the Fylde Coast who are seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence and develop essential social and emotional skills.
You may support pupils with:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
- Behavioural challenges
- Sensory and physical needs
Your Responsibilities:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support
- Assisting teachers to adapt learning activities
- Supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing and social development
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
- Helping pupils develop independence and confidence
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and families
What We're Looking For:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
- A patient, caring and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification desirable but not essential
