Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Needs & Homelessness Manager for a Local Authority Client in the Isle of Wight.
In this role you will lead the Housing Needs and Homelessness service, ensuring legal compliance, preventing homelessness, and delivering effective support to vulnerable households.
Duties:
- Lead and manage the Housing Needs and Homelessness service to ensure effective, lawful service delivery.
- Oversee homelessness assessments, decisions, and temporary accommodation to ensure quality and compliance.
- Drive homelessness prevention and partnership working with internal teams and external agencies.
- Manage complaints, legal challenges, and service performance to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience managing or leading a housing needs or homelessness service in a public sector setting.
- Strong knowledge of homelessness legislation, housing law, and statutory guidance.
- Experience working with vulnerable clients and complex housing cases in a front-line environment.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and work effectively with partner organisations.
What's on offer:
Salary: £24+ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
