Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work within mainstream primary schools across Blackpool & The Fylde Coast.
This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring they can access learning, participate fully in school life and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.
Working alongside class teachers and SEND teams, you will provide targeted support for pupils with:
- Autism (ASC)
- ADHD
- SEMH needs
- Speech and language difficulties
- Learning difficulties and developmental delays
- Behavioural and emotional support needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting learning on a one-to-one and small group basis
- Implementing individual support plans and intervention programmes
- Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom engagement
- Supporting emotional regulation and social development
- Monitoring progress and communicating effectively with staff
- Creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience working with children or young people
- Understanding of SEND and inclusive practice
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
