For some children, success at school starts with having the right support by their side.

Spencer Clarke Group are looking for compassionate and committed SEN Support Assistants to work within primary schools across Blackpool and surrounding areas, supporting pupils who require additional help to engage, learn and thrive.

Every day is different. One day you may be helping a child build confidence in the classroom, the next supporting them to regulate their emotions, develop friendships or achieve a milestone they've been working towards for weeks.

You could be supporting pupils with:

  • Autism
  • ADHD
  • SEMH needs
  • Communication and interaction difficulties
  • Learning disabilities
  • Sensory needs
  • Emotional and behavioural challenges


The Role:

  • Providing tailored support to individual pupils and small groups
  • Helping children access learning and participate fully in lessons
  • Encouraging independence and personal development
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and SEND professionals
  • Celebrating progress, no matter how big or small

Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
