School Business Manager - Dual Site
Salary: £52,000 - £55,000 per annum
Contract Type: Fixed Term (12 months)
Hours: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Location: Dual-site role (two specialist school settings)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic School Business Manager to take on a senior leadership role across two specialist education settings.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop all support services across both sites, ensuring operational excellence and enabling outstanding outcomes for children and young people with complex needs.
Working closely with senior leaders, you will ensure these services operate efficiently, compliantly, and in line with strategic priorities, creating safe and high-quality environments for learning and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will:
- Lead strategic and operational planning for all support services
- Manage budgets with full accountability, ensuring value for money and strong financial performance
- Oversee financial reporting, forecasting, and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and regulatory requirements
- Lead and develop multi-disciplinary teams across both sites
- Drive continuous improvement and operational effectiveness
- Contribute to wider school leadership and strategic decision-making
About You
You will be an experienced leader with a strong background in business or operational management, ideally within education or a similar regulated environment.
You will bring:
- Proven leadership across multiple operational functions
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, monitoring, and analysis
- Knowledge of safeguarding, compliance, and health & safety requirements
- Understanding of education settings, funding, and regulatory frameworks (desirable)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and make informed decisions
Desirable:
- A relevant management or finance qualification
- Experience of HR processes and people management
