Interim Contracts Manager - (Savings Delivery)
Location: London
Rate: £625 Per day
Working Pattern: 4 days remote, 1 day in the office
Contract: 6 - months
Spencer Clarke Group are supporting a public sector organisation to appoint an Interim Contracts Manager to deliver a targeted, time-limited savings workstream.
The focus is taking a pre-identified pipeline of savings opportunities and converting them into cashable outcomes through commercial intervention, negotiation, and supplier engagement.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading commercial engagement and negotiations with suppliers to unlock savings
- Reviewing contract and spend areas, challenging pricing, scope, and commercial terms
- Turning data insights and analysis into practical actions and measurable outcomes
- Working with service leads to validate opportunities and secure stakeholder buy-in
- Driving pace, accountability, and delivery across the savings workstream
- Ensuring governance and procurement compliance throughout
About you:
- Strong track record in contract management, ideally within the public sector
- Evidence of delivering cashable savings through supplier negotiation and commercial activity
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Commercially astute, able to assess value, risk, and leverage quickly
- Comfortable working at pace, independently, and in delivery-focused environments
- Able to translate commercial detail into clear, plain-English actions and decisions
