Salary: MPS/UPS (Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale)

Spencer Clarke Group is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Teacher of Science to join a thriving secondary school in Chorley. This is a permanent position starting in September, offering a competitive salary in line with the Main Pay Scale and Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS).

About the Role: 

As a Teacher of Science, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be expected to create engaging and innovative lesson plans that inspire a love for science, foster critical thinking, and promote academic excellence. Your role will include:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering outstanding lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
  • Assessing, recording, and reporting on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Establishing a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Participating in extracurricular activities and school events to enhance the school community.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Science or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary school level.
  • Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
