Hi, I'm Liam!

I’m Managing Consultant at Spencer Clarke Group, specialising in secondary education. I recruit for roles including Cover Supervisors, Teachers and Teaching Assistants for daily cover and on a temporary and permanent basis. I work alongside secondary schools throughout Preston, Chorley, East Lancashire and West Lancashire. 

Alongside my position as Managing Consultant, I am also Spencer Clarke Group’s Designated Safeguarding Lead. 

I love working for a team who are so motivated to deliver positive educational outcomes for young people. At Spencer Clarke Group it’s not just about filling jobs. We take great care to ensure that education professionals are in a role where they’ll thrive and that schools are benefiting from excellent teaching. Prior to Spencer Clarke Group, I qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2015. I decided this wasn’t the career for me and instead trained as a secondary school Maths Teacher, working in different high schools across the Fylde Coast. 

I then made the move into education recruitment where I progressed to Managing Consultant. My experience working in secondary schools has been of great benefit throughout my recruitment career. I’ve seen first hand the inner workings of a school and truly understand what schools are looking for when growing their team. A high quality of education must be maintained and whether placing Supply Teachers or permanent staff, I take great pride in playing just a small role in this. 

Outside of work, I love playing basketball and I play for Wrea Green in Lancashire (when I’m not injured). I also have 2 young children who keep me busy the rest of the time!
