Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join a supportive school in Cramlington, Northumberland. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who have Special Educational Needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

This role is Monday-Thursday 8:30-4:30 and Friday 8:30-4:00.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver differentiated learning activities
  • Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
  • Assist in implementing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff
  • Support with social, emotional, and behavioural development


The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one
  • Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
