Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Private Rented Sector Liaison Officer for a Local Authority Client in Surrey.

In this role you will manage the transition of landlords and tenants to the Rental Support Scheme, working to protect tenancies and prevent homelessness.

Duties:

  • Lead and manage the transition of landlords and tenants from the Guaranteed Rent Scheme to the Rental Support Scheme.
  • Negotiate with landlords to sustain tenancies and minimise the risk of eviction.
  • Provide practical tenancy sustainment and resettlement support to tenants.
  • Secure and coordinate alternative accommodation where tenancies cannot be maintained.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Experience working in a frontline role supporting members of the public.
  • Experience within housing advice, tenancy management, or the private rented sector.
  • Experience negotiating with landlords, agents, or other stakeholders.
  • Experience managing challenging or emotionally sensitive situations.

What's on offer:

Salary: £23+ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 6 months minimum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
