Specialist Tutor Required - Year 9 Student

Specialist Tutor Required - Year 9 Student (ASD/PDA) - Letchworth
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate specialist tutor to support a Year 9 female student with complex ASD needs, based in Letchworth.
This is a highly personalised tuition role, ideal for someone with strong experience in supporting students with autistic burnout and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA).

Role Overview

• Deliver Maths and English sessions in the student's home
• Teaching must be fully adapted to the student's interests
• A non-traditional, flexible approach is essential to avoid demand avoidance or shutdown
• Build a trusting and supportive relationship with the student

Schedule

• Preferred: 1 hour per day
  OR
• 3 sessions per week, 90 minutes each (paid for 2 hours per session)

Pay

• £35 per hour

Start Date

• As soon as possible

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience working with students with ASD, particularly autistic burnout and PDA
• Ability to deliver highly personalised, interest-led learning
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
• Strong communication and patience
