Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an individual to cover the Duty Occupational Therapy service within the single point of access, due to a vacancy in our team. This role is essential for delivering front-line statutory services to residents.
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to implement a self-directed approach in line with the personalisation agenda and the Safeguarding Adults policy for the Council.
- Ability to plan and maximise the use of resources effectively.
- Skilled in negotiating with customers to determine the best approach to meet their needs.
- Capable of working within a multi-disciplinary environment, partnering with carers, families, and other staff agencies to ensure service user needs are met.
- Ability to work using initiative within a team, manage workload efficiently, prioritise tasks, and adapt to changing demands.
- Proficient in implementing and monitoring quality standards.
- Competent in carrying out assessments in line with relevant regulations and providing appropriate advice on techniques and equipment.
- Experience of delivering services using computerised systems.
- Experience of providing services to vulnerable adults.
- Experience of performance management.
- Awareness of the Health and Social Care integration agenda.
- Knowledge of legislative framework and good practice guidance.
Essential Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy recognized by the College of Occupational Therapists.
- Registered with the Health Professions Council.
