We are seeking a Personal Advisor for a Local Authority Client based in North London.

 

In this role, you will support care leavers, ensuring their successful transition into adulthood by providing guidance and facilitating access to essential services for their well-being and development.

 

About the role:

You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:

  • Prepare, update, and implement pathway plans in collaboration with the supervising manager.
  • Monitor care leavers' progress and wellbeing, adjusting plans to meet their needs.
  • Conduct human rights assessments and ensure young people's rights are respected.
  • Collaborate with families, carers, and professionals to promote young people's welfare.
  • Support care leavers in education, training, employment, and accommodation.

 

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a supportive role with young people.
  • Experience in providing resettlement support and addressing the issues associated with resettling young people.
  • Familiarity with children and young people from diverse backgrounds and knowledge of the issues related to their education, emotional well-being, and physical/social well-being.

 

What’s on offer:

Salary: £18.70+per hour

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

 

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

 

Hours: Monday – Friday, 36 hours per week
