We are seeking a dedicated Family Worker to join a busy Family Centre team in the North Wales region.

This role focuses on providing early help, guidance, and practical support to parents, carers, children, and young people. Working within a multi agency environment, you will help families access the right services at the right time, promoting positive outcomes and ensuring children have the best possible start in life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one to one and group based support to parents and families, offering advice, guidance, and practical help.
  • Work collaboratively across public services, local authority teams, and third sector partners to deliver a holistic, multi?agency programme of support.
  • Promote the Family Centre as a single point of access for families seeking early help and community based support.
  • Engage proactively with the local community to strengthen awareness and uptake of preventative services.
  • Support families with young children and teenagers to improve wellbeing, resilience, and overall quality of life.
  • Contribute to the coordination and delivery of preventative services for families who do not require specialist intervention.
  • Work flexibly to meet service needs, including occasional evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Key Requirements

  • Good standard of general education (minimum 5 GCSEs or equivalent).
  • Strong digital and administrative skills, with confidence using technology and software systems.
  • Level 3 professional qualification relevant to family support (e.g., Working with Parents or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children, young people, and families within a support, education, or community setting.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice in family support.
  • Sound understanding of safeguarding, child protection procedures, and thresholds for intervention.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to build trust and engage families effectively.


Contract Type: Temporary: 3-6 months (with view of potential extension).
Pay Rate: £14.82 per hour
Working pattern - 37 hours per week, onsite
