Community Psychiatric Nurse

We are working with a local NHS Trust who are seeking a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to join their Community Mental Health Team in Uxbridge.

Uxbridge

£26 p/h Umbrella (potentially negotiable depending on experience)

Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

3 month initial contract with the view of extension

Key responsibilities:

• Management of a CPA caseload, medication administration, Duty work and attendance to MDT meetings.
• Undertake holistic assessments of service users utilising the single assessment process, risk assessment tools and mental state examination in order to provide a high standard of nursing care to service users in the community.
• deliver appropriate therapeutic interventions to service users utilising a range of psychosocial evidence-based therapies e.g. bereavement counselling, medicine management, anxiety management, relaxation techniques, and problem-solving techniques.

Requirements:

• Registered Mental Health Nurse with a valid NMC Pin
• Community experience is essential
