Capital Projects Manager

Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Capital Projects Manager to work within the NHS in Maidstone!  

Contract – 3 - 6 months initial contract with the view to being extended to an ongoing basis

Salary - £30.00-32.00+ per hour – negotiable dependent on experience

About the role:

• The Capital Projects Manager is a key role for the Trust, supporting the Associate Director of Capital Development in the provision of a professional Estates design, technical advice and engineering/construction management service to the Trust.
• Direct management and supervision of Capital schemes for all building and engineering matters associated with the Trust.
• Manage the provision of Building Improvement schemes through construction and engineering contractors and external specialist consultants and surveyors, to meet the requirements of the Trust Estates and Service strategies and the associated Capital and major revenue projects.
• Responsibility for the design, detailed specification, procurement, planning, implementation and project management, and contract administration of all Capital and major revenue projects.

About You:

• Significant Experience and knowledge of project management in building construction.
• In depth knowledge of NHS project management including procurement routes, and business case development.
• In depth experience in design, specification and negotiation of construction projects, Capital project management and administration of construction contract matters.
• Experience in facilitating formal tendering processes.
• Desirable - IOSH Healthcare (Risk & Safety Management) or NEBOSH general certificate (Construction)
