About the Role
Spencer Clarke Group are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and motivated Unqualified Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a welcoming school setting in the Chorley area. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience and begin or progress a career within education.
Working alongside teaching staff, you will help support pupils' learning, confidence, and development in a positive and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering lessons and classroom activities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils
- Encourage student participation and engagement
- Assist with classroom preparation and organisation
- Support pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs where required
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Supervise pupils during break times and school activities when necessary
Requirements
- No formal Teaching Assistant qualification required
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, adaptable, and supportive approach
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
