1:1 MATHS & ENGLISH TUTOR - STOCKPORT
With Spencer Clarke Group - Supporting young people outside mainstream education
Spencer Clarke Group is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Maths & English Tutors to provide 1:1 support for young people who are out of mainstream education across Stockport and surrounding areas.
This role involves working with learners who may have SEND, SEMH needs, anxiety, ASD, ADHD, or barriers that make accessing traditional education difficult. Sessions are tailored to each young person's individual learning style, ability, and needs.

- Denton

- Tameside
- South Manchester
The Role:
? Deliver engaging 1:1 Maths and English tuition
? Support students with GCSE and Functional Skills learning
? Build confidence, routine, and positive engagement
? Create a calm and supportive learning environment
? Adapt teaching approaches to suit individual learners
? Work closely with families, schools, and local authorities
We're Looking For:
? Experience tutoring or teaching Maths and English
? Strong communication and relationship-building skills
? Patient, reliable, and empathetic individuals
? Experience supporting SEND/SEMH needs preferred
? Ability to motivate and engage young people
? Safeguarding awareness and professionalism

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
