SEN Teaching Assistant
Full-Time | September Start | 8:45am - 3:25pm
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist secondary school this September.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people with a range of complex special educational needs, helping them to access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential within a nurturing and supportive environment.
The Role
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with complex additional needs.
- Work closely with teachers and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver personalised learning and care.
- Support students with communication, social, emotional, and physical needs throughout the school day.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
- Assist with implementing individual education and behaviour support plans.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with children or young people with complex special educational needs is desirable.
- A caring, patient, and resilient approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- A willingness to undertake personal care is essential.
