Strategic Business Leader (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)

Contract: 12-Month Fixed Term (Starting September)
Salary: £42,000-£45,000 per annum
We are seeking a proactive and collaborative Strategic Business Leader to join a thriving secondary school on a 12-month fixed-term contract starting in September.
This is a key leadership role, working across the school to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between departments, supporting senior leaders and helping teams work together to achieve the school's strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships across departments and act as the link between teams to improve communication and collaboration.
- Lead and support staffing processes, including workforce planning and recruitment.
- Manage a range of HR responsibilities, ensuring policies and procedures are implemented effectively.
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to support strategic and operational priorities.
- Drive continuous improvement across business support functions.
- Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the school and help deliver an outstanding service to staff and students.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in a strategic business, operations, or leadership role.
- Has experience of staffing, recruitment, and HR processes.
- Is an excellent communicator with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
- Is highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Has strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience working within a school or education setting is desirable, although candidates with relevant leadership experience from other sectors are encouraged to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
