Job Description:
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join our team for the Summer Term. The successful candidate will have a strong background in chemistry education and a genuine enthusiasm for inspiring young minds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective chemistry lessons to students across various age groups and abilities.
  • Develop and implement creative teaching strategies to promote student learning and understanding.
  • Assess student progress through regular evaluations and feedback, and provide additional support where necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the chemistry curriculum and enrichment activities.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student participation and academic success.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school-related events as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • A degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Previous experience teaching chemistry at the secondary level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.

Additional Information:
This is a full-time temporary position for the duration of the Summer Term, with the possibility of extension. The start date is 15th April. The salary offered will be in the range of £153 - £240 per day, depending on experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date
