Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 per annum (depending on experience) with TLR2.3 £5,351

Position Overview: As the Subject Leader of Computing & ICT, you will be responsible for driving excellence in teaching and learning within the department. This role offers the opportunity to develop and implement innovative curriculum strategies, inspire students to engage with technology, and support the professional development of colleagues. Take on a leadership position that can make a real difference in the lives of students and contribute to the ongoing success of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Computing & ICT department, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment.
  • Develop and implement a dynamic and engaging curriculum that reflects the latest trends and advancements in technology.
  • Support the professional development of department staff through training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and creativity within the department, encouraging both students and staff to explore new ideas and approaches.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and colleagues across the school to drive whole-school improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the Computing & ICT department, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective strategies for enhancement.
  • Maintain strong relationships with parents, carers, and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on student progress and departmental activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant degree in Computing, ICT, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a school setting is desirable.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for promoting excellence in Computing & ICT education.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate both students and colleagues.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to embrace new challenges and opportunities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
