Senior Capital Projects Manager (Corporate/Operational Property)
Location: North West England, hybrid
Rate: £450 per day
Contract: 6 months ongoing
Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting for an Interim Senior Capital Projects Manager to lead a portfolio of corporate and operational property projects for a large public sector organisation.
This is a delivery focused role requiring a genuine technical and construction background, rather than a PMO only profile. The project portfolio is corporate property (for example, town hall and operational buildings), not housing and not education.
Responsibilities include
- Leading end to end delivery of capital projects across corporate and operational property
- Managing programmes, budgets, risk, governance, and reporting
- Coordinating internal stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to deliver to time, cost, and quality
- Driving compliance and assurance across construction and delivery activity
- Producing clear documentation, briefs, and recommendations for senior stakeholders
About You
- Strong capital projects background with a technical, construction or building discipline
- Proven delivery across corporate and operational estates
- Confident managing multiple stakeholders and suppliers in a public sector environment
- Strong governance, reporting, and risk management skills
