SEND Transformation Project Manager

£500 per day

3 month contract, likely to be extended

Spencer Clarke Group are looking for an experienced SEND Transformation Project Manager to lead in identifying the resources, costs and planning required to ensure effective delivery of high-quality services for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

The SEND Transformation Project Manager will lead project teams for our local authority client in South West England, ensuring they meet their obligations under the Safety Valve monitoring in a timely and efficient manner.

Essential Requirements:

  • Significant experience of working with local authorities and SEND.
  • Strong understanding and proven experience in applying recognised project methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, Agile) and other project management principles, tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience in using data and performance metrics to support decision-making and track progress.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Provide strong leadership and clear direction as the strategic lead for SEND strategy, attendance, and inclusion.
  • Manage project risks through assessment, mitigation strategies and contingency planning.
  • Contribute to innovation by applying analytical thinking to address complex and challenging problems.

Skills required:

  • Able to successfully lead and manage a team, providing continuous support and advice across all areas of project delivery.
  • Skilled in planning and managing finances and budgets to achieve performance targets.
  • Capable of building effective relationships with a wide range of diverse stakeholders.
