SEND Team Manager
£437 per day
6 month initial contract

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an experienced SEND Team Manager to lead a team of SEND professionals for our local authority client in South West England.
The SEND Team Manager will be responsible for supervising and supporting the team, ensuring high quality performance in order to deliver the most positive outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Essential Requirements:
- Significant experience of working within SEND, particularly in a Local Authority setting.
- Secure, up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the SEND Code of Practice 2015 and The Children and Families Act 2014.
- Ability to make decisions within statutory frameworks, considering financial impacts and potential legal challenges.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Effectively lead the co-ordination and delivery of SEND processes for the local authority whilst maintaining legal compliance.
- Ensure the Annual Review process is effectively managed and monitored within statutory timescale and in coordination with schools and partner organisations.
- Work collaboratively with managers and professionals in other services to ensure that the local authority promote inclusive education for children and young people with SEND.
Skills required:
- Ability to motivate staff, drive best practice, and manage performance effectively.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting demands to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work well both as part of a team and in a leadership position.
