Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a highly skilled improvement professional with significant experience in advising local authorities on systems relating to special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

The SEND Improvement Specialist will provide expert advice and support to our local authority client in London on the effectiveness of the SEND Improvement Programme and Benefits realisation plan.

Essential Requirements:

• Senior experience in guiding local authorities and integrated care systems on the improvement of education, health and care services for SEND.
• Ability to successfully recognise and advise on key areas of improvement.
• A proven track record of success in improving systems for SEND.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Support the development and implementation of effective, evidence-based services for SEND.
• Oversee and challenge the programme team to ensure the activity set out in the improvement plan is progressing.
• Encourage collaboration and teamwork and facilitate the sharing of good practice.

Skills required:

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to successfully track improvement.
• A good team player, being able to work collaboratively to ensure that changes to SEND provision are effectively implemented.
