SEND Auditor

£360 per day

3 month initial contract, with a view to being extended

Hybrid - 1 - 2 days per week in office - North London

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an experienced SEND Auditor to support our local authority client in North London, using performance data to enhance the quality of services and improve outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their families.

The SEND Auditor will ensure legal and policy compliance, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting the local authority in delivering high-quality, person-centred SEND provision.

Essential Requirements:

  • Local Authority experience and a strong knowledge of the legislative and policy framework relating to Children's Services (children social care, education and SEND).
  • Proven experience in auditing and working directly with performance or quality management frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills, with the ability to identify trends and areas for improvement to support the continuing development of best practice.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Analyse and review policy and practice to ensure continuous improvements.
  • Produce high quality written reports and present them to a variety of audiences, including senior managers.
  • Promote and support continual learning across the Service.

Skills required:

  • Proven auditing and quality assurance skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage own workload whist meeting strict deadlines.
  • Excellent oral communication and presentation skills.
