SEN Projects Officer

£300 per day

3 month initial contract

Hybrid working - North London

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a SEN Projects Officer to support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of strategic projects relating to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within a North London local authority.

The SEN Projects Officer will play a key part within the statutory SEN Team, contributing to service delivery improvement and delivering better outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in providing support to the SEN Service on key projects within a local authority setting.
  • Strong working knowledge of SEND policy, including changes to government legislation.
  • Experience in analysing and interpreting data to inform project planning and improve service delivery.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Work directly with children and young people with SEND and their families to support the development of co-produced practice standards.
  • Act as first responder for any Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests.
  • Drive continuous improvement and the implementation of automation and efficient ways of working.

Skills required:

  • Strong judgement and analytical skills leading to effective service delivery.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Skilled in written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
