Semi-Senior Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Semi-Senior Accountant to join a well-established, growing & ambitious Chartered Accountancy Practice based in the City of London.

They are a highly respected accountancy firm who have been established for over 25 years.

They offer specialist accountancy services to businesses and contractors all across the UK & they have great career progression opportunities due to some exciting growth that’s going on.

This firm has grown 15% over 2023 & there is no plan on this growth slowing down!

Are you keen to learn and progress your career within a Chartered Accountancy Practice?

Have you 2 years Practice experience (in a UK Practice)?

Have you good knowledge & experience using Xero?

Do you have excellent communication skills?

The Role and Responsibilities

• Work closely with Senior Accountants on;
• Preparation of year end accounts
• Tax returns
• Bookkeeping
• VAT returns
• Payroll
• Ensure all deadlines and budgets are met
• Act as a point of contact within the firm for client requests/needs, keeping clients informed of progress in relation to all aspects of the service provided and maintaining regular contact with clients
• You will be expected to be able to write professional letters, emails, reports and other written submissions for review
• Keep up to date with all technical developments to ensure continued excellent services with the client

Essential Skills

• 2 years Chartered Accountancy Practice experience (in a UK Practice)
• AAT/ACCA/ACA part qualified
• Excellent communication skills
• Xero software experience
• Keen to learn & progress your career

What’s on offer

• Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 DOE

• Benefits: Hybrid working (2 office / 3 wfh), 28 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays, Full Study Support Package, Social Events, Clear Progression Opportunities & More!

• Contract type: Full Time / Permanent

• Hours: Monday-Thursday: 9am-5:30pm & Friday 9am-4:30pm
