School Caretaker - Bury
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Pay: £18 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
We are currently seeking an experienced School Caretaker to join a welcoming school in Bury. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who understands the day-to-day demands of working within a school environment and can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities:

• General maintenance and upkeep of the school premises
• Carrying out minor repairs and DIY tasks
• Ensuring the site is clean, secure, and well-presented at all times
• Opening and locking the school daily
• Monitoring and maintaining health & safety standards across the site
• Supporting with deliveries and moving equipment when required

Essential Requirements:

• Previous caretaking experience within a school setting is essential
• Good understanding of school health & safety and safeguarding procedures
• A proactive, hands-on approach
• Strong reliability and punctuality
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

This is a full-time, ongoing role with an immediate start available, ideal for someone confident in working independently within a school environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
