We're looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join our friendly and supportive team in Blackburn. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Early Years professional who is ready to take ownership of their room, inspire colleagues, and help children thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.

The Role

As a Nursery Room Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring high-quality care and education while leading and motivating your team to deliver outstanding practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead your room on a day-to-day basis, maintaining high standards of care and learning
  • Support, coach and motivate team members to deliver exceptional Early Years practice
  • Plan and deliver engaging EYFS activities based on children's interests and developmental needs
  • Complete observations, assessments and learning records to a high standard
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers through effective communication
  • Ensure safeguarding, welfare and compliance requirements are consistently met
  • Work closely with the management team to drive quality improvement and positive outcomes for children

About You

We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised and committed to delivering the very best Early Years education.

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above)
  • Previous Room Leader experience, or an experienced Senior Practitioner ready to take the next step
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, child development, planning and observations
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and lead by example
  • A positive, supportive approach to leadership and teamwork

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
